She's Got You High But You Don't Even Know Yet.

By a stroke of good luck, I managed to score myself a pair of passes to the Carven Ong Graduation Show right smack in the middle of the Malaysian International Fashion Week. It was a much welcome relief from rehearsals and uni, especially leading up to yesterday's performances at KLpac. The show featured collections from 15 graduates from Carven Ong's Fashion Academy, plus another five collections from his previous students, so it was interesting to see how the garments reflected their respective designers. I didn't manage to catch the names of the designers (I'm such a horrible blogger!), but I did manage to whip out my trusty camera in time to snap some photos. Below are just a few I took, mostly of the ones that I really liked.

This, right on the heels of Nottingham Connects, was such a breath of fresh air. Though I have to say, being around so many people in the past few days during the flu season has definitely proven too much for me, as I woke up yesterday afternoon too sick to move. I spent the entire day just eating & sleeping, if not chewing on Esberitox (which is a miracle-worker on the flu) in between. I had prayed that if I were to fall sick, it wouldn't happen before the performance, and I guess those prayers have been answered to a certain extent. So glad that I got to spend my Sunday in bed, curled up under the covers, to recuperate from everything. Today, however, it's back to slow, dreary, monotonous life (:
